Kuromi is back! And this time, Studio Petit may really be in over its head…
“Time Journeys” lasted only one season, but Studio Petit still has a full plate to keep them busy. This time, the crew has been assigned three anime series to work on – at the same time! Kuromi is back at the helm, and she means business! Can little Studio Petit handle the big task of producing three different series at once?
I don’t know how he does it… Akitaroh Daichi has taken everything that made the first Kuromi OVA a wild success and expanded on it. Animation Runner Kuromi 2 is an absolute riot. (and educational too!)
Seeing the first Animation Runner Kuromi is almost a must prior to seeing the second. The first OVA is where the staff of Studio Petit are introduced, and knowing the characters ahead of time is a big help when going into this second installment. Mikiko (aka Kuromi) is as determined as ever to get the job done with the increased workload, and she’s so enthusiastic that you can’t help but root for her to succeed.
Akitaroh Daichi has pulled out all the stops this time. Kuromi‘s second installment is twice as frantic, twice as funny, and twice as random as the first. Mind you, the first OVA was no slouch! It is safe to say that this OVA has cemented Daichi’s place as my favorite comedic anime director. It’s as off the wall as it could possibly be, yet sticks together like crazy glue. As with the first one, if you want to learn a little bit about the anime industry in the most entertaining way possible, drop everything and watch Animation Runner Kuromi right now!
